Mondays with Timothy
" The day the devil came in three forms.
He’s on the prowl, he’s on the lookout, he comes to steal, to kill and destroy.
And By golly he’s in my kitchen, my living room and my bedroom.
Sometimes he comes alone, sometimes with his demons-
They take different shapes and sizes
But they sure can’t fool me
Evil has a distinct smell and taste.
I shall say ‘be gone from me you evil thing’
And ‘flee in the name of Jesus!’
Then the occupants of love, peace and joy shall be the new tenants.

Recently, I've just been facing many issues and challenges and I shared it with my dad ( he's called Timothy and thus the title of the post haha) on msn and he really gave me wise counsel. He was just sharing with me how the people you find most irritable can sometimes become your lifelong mates and how the favour of God really depends on us being obedient to the Holy Spirit and having a character that pleases him. Don was brought in as an apt example of how the favour of God is upon those who love and obey him. I'm really glad to have both my dad and younger brother as spiritual role models.
Afterall, everyone and anyone can give you sound advice, but not everyone can convince you of that through their lifestyle. Which really just reminds me that if my earthly father can give me such wonderful spiritual support, the capacity in which my heavenly father can do so would be even more. Thus, I am really determined to draw closer through building my personal altar in this season of chaos.
haha for a person that spews gossip and nonsensical crap half the time, I do actually make sense once in a while!
