Orientation
Hey all!
Here's just a rough summary of Orientation so far just in case you were wondering.
Monday 14 July ( DAY 1)
Went for the international student orientation. Was sandwiched in between a large group of American and British students, only to realise that they were on an exchange programme for like one semster. Thus, majority of the international students are actually from Asia. so yeah haha
Made friends with this Vietnamese girl who's doing her masters in linguistics ( I think)
Then due to my lack of sleep from sleeping late the last night, I decided to forgo eveything else haha
Tuesday 15 July ( DAY 2)
Went for the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences Orientation. It was pretty good, the Faculty members were very warm and friendly, I made friends with this Jap guy from communication and made friends with 5 other people from the Journalism course during tea after that.
Two Aussie girls, one Aussie boy, one Canadian girl and one South African girl( who asked me If I'm from China..Ouch!)haha but they were all very nice and friendly although there's the usual awkwardness of meeting new people.
After tea one of the Aussie girls and I went for the Political science and International relations talk which was a bit dry but useful.
Following which we headed for the Bachelor of Journalism orientation and met the same four others and perhaps a few more people. It was kinda repetative of the faculty talk although the slide show presentation was rather interesting.
Some went for coffee after that but I declined cause oncemore I was so tired and wanted to sleep haha
Wednesday 16 July (DAY 3)
Rained in the morning and so I slept in and didn't go to school. I am offically a bummer!
