First Day
Having a good day all you B's and G's ? Alas, 2009 has come. Indeed 2008 has been a year of many changes with me going to Australia and having a whole different lifestyle but I believe there'll be more changes to come at present. For one, Don is moving to hostel at a tender young age of 16!!! ( everybody's jaw drops in shock)I'm really going to miss having you at home most of the time bro, you really are the sweetest kid your age I know. In addition, for most of the year down under I'll be having three house bunnies! Am really looking forward to the whole friends-as-family experience :) AND, regarding new year resolutions, I don't really believe in such things, for the simple reason that important things are important through life and not just within the previous year or for the coming year. Thus, Godliness and loving God's people will be a lifelong resolution for me. There will be times whereby I fall short of the mark and there will be times when I exceed expectations, all I ask is that everyone be patient and encouraging towards me. :)
To one and all, great and small, happy new year!

When Christmas comes to town:)
Hello to all you fantabulous B's and G's! Merry Christmas!! OMG I-LIKE-SO-LOVE-CHRISTMAS! Now that we are into the last hour of this joyous day, let me spend it being thankful for all that has happened.
This year's Christmas has been such a wonderful and exciting one! The musical went super duperly well, thanks to God and everyone else who was part of the team. It was so much fun and despite all the hard work, the end product was extremely rewarding! I'm really glad to have grown up with all you BCM-ers , I love all of you, lets do this again sometime. And to our star Julia, I hope you're feeling much better now:)
Oh and news flash, there's gonna be a BCM sleepover at our place after watchnight service so do come and we're definitely going to have a BLAST! haha there are so many stories to tell , if you know what I mean ;)
Also, it's such a heartwarming time of year when the whole family gets together by the fireplace, with chestnuts roasting over an open fire. haha alright I am exaggerating but you get the picture. So to one and all-May the warmth and Joy of Christmas be in your hearts all year round !

Under my arms
hello B's and G's, So you step into this room, a dimly lit room with the music of bach playing in the background. Following the instructions given, you take of your top and put on a tube-like nightgown- then you lie down and wait.
She arrives and you swallow hard, preparing for whats to come next. You raise your arms above your head- as a partial act of surrender. Before long, hot wax fills the indents we more commonly recognise as armpits. Feel the hot sensation seeping through your skin?
Professionally, she ignores the cringing of your toes and goes on to place thin white stips above the wax( very deceiving thin white strips might I add), ensuring cohesion by firmly pressing downwards. THEN, with all her God-given strength, SHE PULLS, and the stubby bits of hair instantly are removed, leaving behind its mark of a huge red patch.
It isn't over yet. Using a pair of tweezers, she removes the rebels that refused to go with the wax and the strip, and all you can do at this point of time is question your sanity.
yes B's and G's you have just witnessed ARMPIT WAXING. which honestly hurts like crazy haha but I guess waxing really does a much cleaner job then shaving and supposedly it makes the armpit hair finer. So if you think your threshold of pain is up to the challenge I strongly encourage you to try it :)

A Thief In The House Of Memory
Picture a boy's room. There is a bed shaped like an enormous red running shoe. The comforter is a golden map of the world. The curtains match the comforter but have faded. Time does that: fades things. The windows are deep, with cushions. A place to curl up with a comic book or a thought you need to think.
This boy is a builder. Models hang from invisible threads ready to dive-bomb his dreams. A Lego skyscraper sits on a low table. Action figures patrol a nearby shelf : Transformers in various states of transformation.
He is a dreamer. Above the bed is a framed picture of a house the boy drew when he was not even nine. A dream house. There is a book open on the bedside table. He might have just stepped out to get a glass of water.
Where is he? What's keeping him?
The curtains flutter. It's an April night. One window is open just a crack. Listen. Someone is outside, someone walking too close to the shrubbery, checking a window latch, checking a door handle. There is silence again and then, suddenly, the splintering of wood. The sound is muffled- over in a second. Above the bed a Super Star Destroyer clicks against the Millennium Falcon.
Reach up and still the starships. Look at your fingers. They are black with dust. Run your finger over the jacket of the book. See the picture brighten under your touch? The boy hasn't slept in this room for four years.
if you want to read on, ask me to lend you the book
