Shopping, Schooling and Suntanning!

hey B's and G's,
Apologise for the long period without updates haha as most of you already know, Amanda has been here for the past ten days, accompanying me to school, shopping and seeing the Australian wildlife! I am going to miss her so much when she leaves, I know so already:(

Monday- Mandy arrived and we just hanged out at home and the playground
Tuesday- went shopping in the city and spent so much!
Wednesday- lectures, shopping at market day and dinner at Edwin's house
Thursday & Friday- NANDOS & housevisiting
Saturday- Bbq at Roma St Parkland with J8
Sunday- more shopping then church
Monday- even more shopping followed by watching "The Dark Knight" with Lemuel
Tuesday- Went to see Koalas and Wallabies in the wild then dinner at Jason's
Wednesday- lectures for the whole day( from like 12-7 straight)
Thursday - tutorial then Nando-ing with Lemuel
Friday- SHOPPING and mandy's flight home

Orientation

Hey all!
Here's just a rough summary of Orientation so far just in case you were wondering.

Monday 14 July ( DAY 1)
Went for the international student orientation. Was sandwiched in between a large group of American and British students, only to realise that they were on an exchange programme for like one semster. Thus, majority of the international students are actually from Asia. so yeah haha
Made friends with this Vietnamese girl who's doing her masters in linguistics ( I think)
Then due to my lack of sleep from sleeping late the last night, I decided to forgo eveything else haha

Tuesday 15 July ( DAY 2)
Went for the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences Orientation. It was pretty good, the Faculty members were very warm and friendly, I made friends with this Jap guy from communication and made friends with 5 other people from the Journalism course during tea after that.
Two Aussie girls, one Aussie boy, one Canadian girl and one South African girl( who asked me If I'm from China..Ouch!)haha but they were all very nice and friendly although there's the usual awkwardness of meeting new people.
After tea one of the Aussie girls and I went for the Political science and International relations talk which was a bit dry but useful.
Following which we headed for the Bachelor of Journalism orientation and met the same four others and perhaps a few more people. It was kinda repetative of the faculty talk although the slide show presentation was rather interesting.
Some went for coffee after that but I declined cause oncemore I was so tired and wanted to sleep haha

Wednesday 16 July (DAY 3)
Rained in the morning and so I slept in and didn't go to school. I am offically a bummer!

University of Queensland

Hello B's and G's,
Today, I made a trip down to the University of Queensland with my three cousins( who so kindly agreed to accompany me:) ) to look at the place before school actually starts next monday. If anything made me feel like I made the wrong decision, standing in the gorgeous campus convinced me otherwise! haha some parts of it look like a replica of the Hogwarts set in Harry Potter. SO much prettier than our local universities ( no offence) haha, so anyway if you guys think I'm exaggerating, here are some pictures!
