Letter from the editor:)

Hello my darling B's and G's,
(as D has termed you guys)

Having a good holiday I hope. It's absolutely fantastic to know that you guys are 'tuning' in to the GossipBitchMill.:) Just a disclaimer to certain posts that you see, I am not the writer of everything that you see here, D is not my alter ego but to be more specific, my ghostwriter. You see what we do here is present scenarios, some based on reality and some based on a fig of our imagination, you , the readers then decide who fits the bill.

“Gossip needn't be false to be evil - there's a lot of truth that shouldn't be passed around.”- Frank A.Clark

A gossip a day has the scandals to stay

Evening fellow Bs and Gs,

D here. Long and busy week but in the world of gossip and scandals there is no such thing as a break so I have to be working hard on feeding you all on all the latest dips. And if you should know, people like me never let anything pass by us unnoticed.

The following names have been changed to protect the identity of the people in the post, namely me.

Spotted, lonely U. Or should I say, no-longer-so-lonely U. She was last seen together with her long lost good friend, L. It seems that the cold distance has brought them closer. Talk about time healing all pain. They sure prove that right.
It seems that they have a strong bond now but I do smell a war coming. A long cold one. But till the chill nips at my ears, I will be preparing for it. Get your leather jackets and gloves ready B and G siders. This will be a long hard winter. I just love it and you know you do too.

You are falling for it.

xoxo D

Shopaholic.

Ok confessions from a true Shopaholic.ME.
It's crazy how one can overindulge in retail therapy.
So I went shopping with Mandy, Jonny and Alisa at Suntec today.

And I bought:
a pair of high-waisted black shorts from Cotton On - $29.35
a brown tube and beige top from Fox - $33
a pair of boxer shorts and three pajamas pants ( all in pink) -$100

in counting.......

ok to be fair to me Mandy's shaing the Fox apparel and one of the pajamas pants while another pajamas pants is for Mummy Loh.

It really still scares me though.Help.

Birthday Boys

Wishing both Daddy Loh and Jonathan a very happy belated birthday. You guys seem to have quite a bit in common, like your birthdays and your love for Amanda *grins*. So anyway it was a sumptuous meal and the mango pudding was absolutely delectable! In addition, the service was really good, so for those of you who didn't join us, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure:)

Family

You know it's just one of those days where everyone breathes down your neck for every little single thing you're not doing right and no one is appreciative at all. Yesterday was that kind of day and for some strange reason today feels exactly the same.

But ultimately, you are family, I will get over this and I will still love you. Cause that's what family is for, loving each other and sticking together.

Hey there,
D here, the other writer of this blog. Or should I say, the other gossiper. And I have basically nothing much to say on this new post. But if you would too just stay on for awhile, I am sure you would be in for a treat. A juicy one.

A few of my favourite girls:)

Whats better than mind blowing music? Basically hot foxy ladies bringing you that kinda music. And thus this post is devoted to two of my all time favourite girl ensembles : The Pussycat Dolls and Bond.

Best known for their classical crossover music, this AussieBrit string quartet has sold over 4 million records, earning themselves the critically acclaimed title of being "the best selling string quartet of all time".

Consisting of Haylie Ecker on first violin, Eos Chater on second violin, Tania Davis on viola and Gay-Yee Westerhoff on the cello, they have spawned international hits like ' Victory', 'Explosive' and 'Duel'.

Haylie who plays a 1751 J.B Guadagnini

Eos Chater

Tania Davis

And my all time favourite, Gay-Yee Westerhoff. She's half chinese half brit and she's looking fine!

Okay Like everyone knows them. Thats a definite! haha But the Difference is I love them. If they ever came to Singapore. I would be right there in the front row, drooling or nosebleeding or perhaps both at the same time!

Big Kitty Nicole.

Ma Foxy Lady Carmie! Come back and be a doll won't ya

Beautiful Blondie Ashley

Flexy Jessie!

Kim the cutie pie!

Melody the sweetie pie!

Switchfoot

Fumbling his confidence
And wondering why the world has passed him by
Hoping that he's bid for more than arguments
And failed attempts to fly, fly

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside

Dreaming about Providence
And whether mice or men have second tries
Maybe we've been livin with our eyes half open
Maybe we're bent and broken, broken

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside

We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life, yeah

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live
We were meant to live

Intellect

"We should take care not to make intellect our god. It has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality. It cannot lead, it can only serve." - Albert Einstein.

MARK OF A LEADER 'NOT IN HIS TOP GRADES'

In response to this article found in the home section of The Straits Times a few days back, where the debate on how important academic results are in the selection of a future political leader is sparked off, I truly believe that top grades are somewhat necessary and understandable but not quintessential of a political leader.

While intellect alone neither promises nor encompasses leadership qualities and political concern which are crucial elements of a politician’s make-up, it does have a growing emphasis in a society like ours which is increasingly becoming more educated and intellectual. Thus, we should set higher standards for our potential political leaders, academically as well. In addition, as mentioned by PM Lee, demands of a political leader have extended beyond the usual qualities of having integrity, commitment and good decision-making skills to being able to think critically and creatively.

On the other hand, apart from grades and technical skills, we have to acknowledge other important factors that make a good political leader such as soft skills ( leadership and communication skills), emotional intelligence (the ability, capacity, or skill to perceive, assess, and manage the emotions of one's self, of others, and of groups) and adversity quotient ( how well and how quickly one bounces back from setbacks in life) as written by Mr Paul Heng in his article in response to this issue.

Summing up, it really is acceptable for academia to be one of the major selection criteria for a potential political leader, but the training and grooming of future political leaders should be based and developed equally on the different aspects mentioned above.

Pets

Pets are really one of the most amazing things in a person's life. They are the only ones who will love you and not bug you ( at least not verbally) plus they are super fun just to watch and play with. So honestly if you need a companion, turn not to the opposite sex or the same for that matter and get a pet today!

Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.
George Eliot

Max, is the baby of the family. Isn't he just the cutest thing you have ever seen on four legs? With silky blackish brown fur , an intellect of a genuis and a warm personality( within the immediate family), he is an absolute darling minus the answering of nature's calls everywhere.

Next in line is Momo. Momo really belongs to my sister, Mandy and her roomie Alisa, although I was the one who gave him the name Momo ( he's also called fearless) from some japanese show. The best way to describe him would be hyperactive because he's like up and about , running , jumping and scurrying. He is uber uber cute and very photogenic:)

Last on the list would actually be Loh Kuku, this wagtail that has chosen to nest in my dad's plant and resides there. We're really are his pets because he chose us and loves to perch on our balcony beside my Dad's lavender plant. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of Loh Kuku yet, but I'll try to take some as soon as possible!

The Mill begins its operation.

Hello everybody,
Welcome to Gossip Bitch Mill. It is my latest creation on what I like to do the most - gossip, and perhaps muse over other pertinent issues in my life which are subjectively fascinating. Over time, you will come to realise that practically anything and everything can be gossiped about. As the oh-so-famous Oscar Wilde once said, " . . . there is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."

Therefore, do have a delightful time reading and remember "For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbours, and laugh at them in our turn?"
